Astrid Hannah (b. 2004) is a London-based photographer working predominantly with analogue processes. Rooted in documentary photography and visual storytelling, her practice explores themes of humanity, love, individuality, and a sense of place, often taken from a voyeursitc standpoint with psychological undertones.

Working primarily with 35mm film and black-and-white imagery, she is drawn to the tactile physicality and intimate nature of analogue photography. Her approach centres on observing and understanding people within their environments, capturing authentic moments while remaining attentive to composition, light, and aesthetics. Though rarely staged, her images often carry a cinematic or romantic quality.

Alongside her personal work, Hannah has undertaken commercial commissions in food and architectural photography, leading projects creatively and working predominantly with natural light.

Her recent university work culminated in a series of 30 x 40 inch hand-developed darkroom prints, reflecting her commitment to analogue craft and image-making.

Through both personal and commissioned projects, she seeks to create photographs that are visually compelling, emotionally resonant, and grounded in human experience.
